Christmas cannoli |Pegler Series Event (Omaha, NE.)
Cannoli is an Italian pastry that most people absolutely enjoy. If we made a top-five list of the most well-known Italian pastries cannoli would most definitely make the list. This pastry has a long and interesting history but the short version would be that this pastry was introduced to Sicily when it was under Arab domination from 831-1091.
The video below is from a cooking demonstration I did in Omaha, Nebraska at the Institute of Culinary Arts. This was an interactive dinner with the guests. For each dish that was served, I demonstrated how it was made and prepared it as they enjoyed their meal. Our dessert was a homemade cannoli! The demonstration was filmed by the school to be used to teach the students and give them some cooking inspirations and learn some techniques.
