I would like to invite you all to follow along on my two-day guest chef event at Slippery Rock University.  Slippery Rock University is the western most institution of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.  The school is located less than an hour north of Pittsburgh, one hour south of Erie, and 45 minutes east of Youngstown, Ohio.

Day one will begin with an inspirational speaking segment followed by a cooking demonstration and a talk about my new product – Minnesota Wild Rice Griddle Cakes On the second day, I will cook at SRU’s Boozel Cafe.  Here I will be working with a team of  chefs from  AVI Fresh, the campus’s contract food vendor. I will create a lunch special which will incorporate the Minnesota Wild Rice Griddle Cakes.

I want to give a big thank you to Slippery Rock University for hosting this event.  Also, I want to send out a chef’s salute of gratitude to all the chefs on the AVI Fresh team for being so accommodating as we worked out the menu and cooking details.

The fun begins on March 19th at 12 noon and ends March 20th at 2pm.  You can follow along on my Facebook and Twitter I’ll be posting content periodically from the event with SRU, as well as posting some stops along the way to western Pennsylvania.

Stay tuned!
