Next week, I will be traveling to a Culinary Advisory Board meeting at the world headquarters of ConAgra Foods in Omaha, Nebraska. I am very much looking forward to this event and to meeting up with some wonderful colleagues.
And of course, the traveling doesn’t stop there! Unexpected circumstances are taking me back to Finland once again. This sudden trip to Helsinki is causing some of my scheduled February appearances to be postponed.
Like all unforeseen things in life, we have to try to turn them into something good, or better yet, something inspirational and educational.
So, this time, I will not be in search of Santa Claus and Lapland recipes. This opportunity will allow me to spend Daddy time with my daughter, do ground work for another book concept, explore and take notes of my discoveries at some local food markets. And hopefully make some time for a traditional Finnish Sauna.
It would have been great to stay on course for the New Year, but then the chance to share another Scandinavian winter journey would be missed.
