Hello friends! Tavola Tours and I are getting ready for our culinary and cultural adventure to southern Italy in April. We are happy to share with you our exciting itinerary for this beautiful journey to the Campania region and its Cilento area. Cilento is the home of the Mediterranean Diet and is well-known for its fertile land and lush vegetation. This area is situated just south of the Amalfi Coast in the southern part of Campania; it’s, also, considered to be one of the best kept secrets in Italy. Shh! Cilento is enjoyed mostly by the locals but, fortunately enough, it is still unspoiled by mass tourism. The trendy Hotel Cerere, your home away from home, is located in this beautiful area in the historic Greek town of Paestum. We will be staying here for the entire trip. (No unpacking and re-packing during this adventure.) Simply unpack, get settled in and enjoy!
The well-crafted itinerary below will take you to the heart of the Amalfi Coast, Naples and Capri. You’ll also enjoy adventurous trips up and down the picturesque mountains of the Cilento area to participate in private cooking classes, taste the wine, and take a beautiful boat ride along the stunning Cilento coast. These are just a few of the fantastic highlights from the itinerary. All tours will be conducted in the English language and lead by professional tour guides who are very knowledgeable about the history of the areas. This tour was created by me and a group of colleagues that I’ve worked with for many years. We are all professionals in the food and travel industry. Our goal is to create a balanced travel program that will satisfy the appetite of foodies, yet pepper in a some of the “must see” spots and cultural highlights of the area. If you would like further information about this southern Italian adventure, please contact me on the Tavola Tours Facebook page, or through the contact submission page of my website.
